28: Remembering the Minnie Pit disaster 100 years on
On 12th January 1918 155 men and boys were killed in the Minnie Pit disaster. The final death toll was 156 as one of the rescue team leaders also died. It was the worst mining disaster to affect North Staffordshire
100 years on the people on Halmer End remember their relatives and members of their community.
